Spring Equinox Practice
From Yin to Yang--a transition into Spring
Service Description
This practice will invite participants to start slow and quiet to reflect on the winter season. The first portion of practice will provide yin poses to support an exploration of open space and support for expansion. From there the practice will start to move into a more active practice by finding pranayama to begin to clear out --think of when we first open our windows after winter and let the fresh air in. We will find breathing exercises that begin to build a bit of yang to transition us out of the coolness of winter yin and into the warming of spring. The second part of the practice will move into more of a flow style practice; movement that works to focus the bubbling energies of spring into a focused sprout ready to push through.
