FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?
Before your first class, drink plenty of water (consider more water intake on the day BEFORE you come to practice) and try to not eat anything more than a light snack two hours before practice.
Bring water, a yoga mat, and a towel with you. If you forget anything no worries, we have them to purchase or rent.
Dress in light, comfortable clothing that allows you to move your body - something that you would be comfortable sweating in! Bring a change of clothes for after class, if you prefer to get out of sweaty clothing.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of class to sign in, get comfortable in the studio room and settled on your mat.
Yoga mats & towels are available to rent, $2 each or $3 for the combo. They are also available for purchase.
Cubbies are located in the lobby to store your belongings. Any valuable items should be left in your vehicle.
Please leave your shoes & cell phones outside of the studio room - be present!
Please keep your mat clean & towels washed. Be mindful of any smells you bring into the studio room such as perfume, cologne, body odor, etc. Smells can be sensitive to students in a studio environment.
The final pose in class is savasana, where the instructor will invite the class to find complete stillness and silence. The pose is very beneficial to calming the central nervous system, promotes awareness of consciousness and more. If you are unable to stay for the entire duration of class, please let your instructor know ahead of time. Please be considerate of your fellow community and recognize the distraction it can be to have noise and interruption when finishing practice time. If you need to leave class early, we ask that you do it before this time.
As class ends please wipe down your personal area around you and your mat. This helps so fellow students don’t slip & begins our cleaning process for the next session.
Keep in mind to always listen to your own body, the teachers are here to offer assistance and suggestions, but you always know what is best in your body.
NEW TO YOGA CONNECT?
ARE THE CLASSES HEATED?
Yes, with the exception of Basics, Yin, Prenatal, all kids yoga classes. Our studios are heated to about 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat is used to warm the muscles and to facilitate a more open body, especially during the winter months. There is some temperature variation between classes, locations, and studio rooms. The climate of the class is entirely controlled by the teacher, so if you are ever too hot or too cold please let your instructor know and they can make adjustments.
WHAT PACKAGE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
We recommend starting off with our introductory offer of 2 weeks unlimited for $20 - this can be purchased one time at each of our locations (available for purchase two times). During the two week period try to make it to a variety of class types as well as teachers. Every teacher has their own unique take to the class. You are able to go to both locations during the trial period.
Once your two week period is finished, you are able to purchase it again for the second time at the other Yoga Connect location.
Your next package purchase should correspond to how often you practice.
Practice times during the week :
Once a week : 5 classes for $60 month or 10 class punch card (6 month expiration).
Two or more times a week : We highly recommend signing up for Connect Club which comes with the perks of access to all online class library with over 100 practices, 10% off all purchases in-studio, discounted rate for private sessions or parties, 1 free guest pass per month (these do not roll over), Connect Club t-shirt, and ability to practice at either Yoga Connect location.
ARE THERE RENTAL MATS?
Yes, mats and towels are available to rent for $2 individually or $3 for the combo.
WHAT CLASSES DO YOU RECOMMEND TAKING AS A BEGINNER ?
In a majority of our classes, all levels of students practice together. We encourage you to chat with our staff if you have specific questions, hesitations or to just put yourself at ease. Any time we try something new or place ourselves in a new setting, we are encouraging growth—which often equates with a certain amount of discomfort.j. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A CLASS/OR CANCEL IF NEEDED?
The fastest way to register for classes or cancel a reservation through our website yogaconnectlansing.com. Just be sure to choose your location first so that you view the correct schedule for each location.
You also can call either location to register. Please be sure to let us know how to reach you for confirmation or in case of cancellations!
PLEASE NOTE—it is helpful for us to know if you cannot attend class. Please call, email or use our Fit by Wix app to let us know!
Please let us know prior to the class start time if you are going to be unable to make it--just to ensure someone on the waitlist has the opportunity to attend.
Classes with no clients pre-registered 1 hour prior to the start time are subject to cancellation and will be removed from the schedule. PLEASE PRE-REGISTER, EMAIL OR CALL THE STUDIO IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND CLASS!
WHAT IS THE CLASS CANCELATION POLICY?
If you are placed on a waitlist for a class, please prepare as if you were still going to attend class. We will have someone in contact with you to help you determine whether to stay on the waitlist or to remove your place in line. Log in to your account to ensure your contact info is up to date. We encourage you to wait at the studio if you are able just in case a spot opens up at the last moment prior to class as well.
Both of our locations have designated areas to change as well as cubbies to store your belongings during class. Due to COVID-19 we do encourage you to leave any non-essential items in your locked vehicle or at home, when possible. Community vanity area is available to clean up/get ready after class with plenty of mirrors and plugs available for items like hairdryers/curling irons, etc.
The West Lansing location offers two men’s and two women’s showers. They are all available to use on a first come/first serve basis. We ask that you try to respect the line by keeping your shower short and quick. Bring a bath towel with you if you plan to shower if not we have one you can borrow! There will be cleaning procedures that we will request clients practice before and after if you should choose to utilize the showers. Cleaning products will be available and accessible. Use of these facilities is voluntary and an assumed risk by client(s).
ARE THERE CHANGING ROOMS/PLACEs
Yes, both of our locations have lost and found designated areas. If you are missing an item please visit the front desk where a staff member is able to help assist you. The lost and found is cleaned out at the end of the month where the items left behind are donated.

do my classes expire?
Please check the details and descriptions of all packages prior to purchasing them. Most punchcard packages will have an expiration date or time frame listed. All of our memberships are monthly recurring except the 10 class punch card. This is set to expire 6 months after the first class date. This is to encourage students to make a commitment to get to their mat! Monthly recurring classes will expire if they are not used up during the month duration (i.e., clients cannot get to “roll” classes over to next month).
CAN MY FRIEND USE ONE OF MY CLASSES?
If you are a member of Connect Club, you will receive one guest pass each month to bring a friend to either of our locations. You also may allow a friend to use a class if you have a punchcard package.
IS MY PACKAGE VALID AT BOTH LOCATIONS?
If you are a member of the Connect Club or are on the two week unlimited introductory offer you are able to practice unlimited at either our Lansing or Haslett location.
All other packages can only be used at home studio location (where package was purchased at). If you would like to attend a class at the other location that is not your home studio, you will have to purchase a drop in or separate package.
CAN I PUT MY PACKAGE ON HOLD?
We will not put packages on hold for vacations, choice to take time off, etc. please plan your packages accordingly and cancel any auto renewing packages ahead of time. You may always start a new package after a vacation or recover from surgery, injury, etc. If you are injured or unable to practice, email us a doctor’s note email@example.com. We can discuss options with you personally.
am i able to get a refund
Once a package is purchased you are able to transfer it to a different package or person if unable to utilize the entire package or time. The value can also be used towards any retail item(s) in the studios.
If you purchased apparel or retail item(s), the item can be returned or exchanged as long as it was not worn or used/still has the tags, when applicable.
DOES YOGA CONNECT OFFER KIDS YOGA?
Yes, Kids Yoga offerings are currently at our Haslett location with options for all different ages from Momma & Me, toddler, school age to tween. For what is currently offered on the schedule please visit HERE (link to kids classes).

DOES YOGA CONNECT OFFER CHILDCARE?
Childcare is offered at our Haslett location for the opportunity for parents to get to their mat more often! Babies 3 months and older are welcome! Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class to allow child get settled in room. Child is welcome to bring any toys or activity to keep them occupied. No snacks in the room. Space is limited & preregistration ahead of time is required.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE A PRIVATE, GROUP PRIVATE OR KIDS PARTY? WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Group private & kids parties are available at both locations. The flat rate is $150 or rate is $120 for groups of 10 or less, $5 is added on for each additional person.
Requests for instructor and class style are welcome! We will do our best to accommodate.

HOW AM I ABLE TO GET A COPY OF A PLAYLIST USED IN CLASS?
Of course! Our instructors will periodically upload their playlists to the Yoga Connect Spotify account. If there is a specific playlist you are looking for email us at email@example.com so we can coordinate with the instructor to add it.
HOW AM I ABLE TO REQUEST DONATIONS?
For donation requests please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org - please attach name of organization, purpose of donation or type of event, business EIN, and any other information you feel would be valuable. We will then contact you to determine appropriate donation and arrange delivery/pick up.
