About the event

Mindfulness and meditation, one aspect of the 8 limbs of yoga, can be a great way to ccultivate calm and embrace healthier states of mental and physical well-being.  Not only does it offer a natural way to address physical ailments, stress, anxiety, health and other mental challenges, but it can also help to move us toward balance and calm. Sounds great, right?

But in a culture of constant movement, how can we begin to learn how to sit and be still?   At Yoga Connect, we’d like to offer you practical techniques to help you “slow your roll” with our new offering called: “Settling Into Stillness.”   Join Elizabeth Kunc on this supportive journey to help you explore the techniques of mindfulness.

Our session will start with some discussion and then shift into some gentle movements to get the wiggles out.  We will have some time to explore and try some different positions for settling into stillness to find one that works best for each body … to feel at ease enough so that the mind can let go.  We will have various props, support methods and techniques to try and experience.  Once each attendee finds the best position for their body, we would move to some basic and gently guided mindfulness exercises.

Absolutely no previous experience is needed. So just come as you already are and let us offer some techniques to help you experience the benefits of sitting in stillness. $25 to register for this event, invoiced upon registration!
