PRERANA YOGA AERIAL TEACHER TRAINING at YOGA CONNECT HASLETT

Join Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, Elissa Voigt for our YA accredited 30-Hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training this February!  This form of yoga uses an adjustable hammock to support postures and make inversions safe and accessible.  Aerial yoga is beneficial for beginners and advanced students alike.  Training with Prerana Yoga is the opportunity to transition your practice into the air, develop a deep understanding of how to utilize gravity in posture, and become a more connected and dynamic teacher.

PROGRAM:

MODULE #1: AERIAL YOGA FOUNDATIONS, Taking Root to Fly

This course utilizes leading movement science to provide students with the techniques and structure required to deliver safe, successful, and foundational yoga classes using the aerial fabric.  This training also advances practical teaching skills, helping students become more dynamic and connected teachers.

Learn how to guide students in the following:

● Inversions and Safety

● Basic Aerial Techniques & Yoga Postures

● Sequencing a Beginning Aerial Yoga class

● Benefits and Contraindications of Aerial Yoga

● Safety in Rigging

● Aerial Assists and Modifications

● Aerial Yamas and Niyamas

MATERIALS - Manual provided and includes all module one topics.

- Yamas & Niyamas, Deborah Adele

Some forms of posture specific Yoga Anatomy such as:

- Yoga Anatomy, Leslie Kaminoff

- Anatomy of Yoga, Ray Long

When: Feb 17th-19th, Feb 24th-26th.  

Friday: 3-8pm

Saturday: 12-5pm

Sunday: 12-5 pm

Cost: $685 for YTT YC graduates, $785 for regular pricing (both prices include application fee).

Application and Requirements: 

Prerequisite: It is reccommended that a 200-hr yoga certification program AND some aerial experience is completed before applying to this training.

Application and $100 deposit is due Jan 20th, 2023.  Payment in full is due on first day of training. Fill out the application form HERE & complete full RSVP form to receive deposit and payment request.
