About the event
May is Mental Health Month. Â
Mental Health Month raises awareness of trauma and the impact it can have on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, families, and communities. Mental Health Month was established in 1949 to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in Americans' lives, and to celebrate recovery from mental illness. Our mental health is essential for our overall health. Prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can recover from mental disorders and live full and productive lives.
Breathwork this month will be centered around  mental health awareness. This modality helps reduce stress & release any stored negative memories, emotions, stagnant energy, or whatever difficult emotions you might be working with. This session will help ease your way through the process of letting go so that you can make space to invite in more peace. It is a powerful tool that we can add into our self-care regimen.  We can put ourselves on track--or back on track-- to a more balanced state of mind and health.
In the spirit of Mental Health Month, Â if you know someone who could benefit from this practice and you would like to provide them the opportunity to come as your guest, for FREE, please reach out to the studio via email at info@yogaconnectlansing.com with 'Breathwork Guest Pass' in the subject line!
We have set aside 2 hours for this special session, where JoJo will guide you through a letting go meditation, full conscious Breathwork journey, followed by rest and grounding. There will besome time after for personal reflection and integration. Â You may feel led to journal or ask questions about your experience, so this will allow us to have some time for those important elements.
